About Us

Fable Workshop was established in 2019 with the aim of forging new stories with new ideas. Led by Artistic Directors Sean Hollands and Alex Cofield.

We are an experimental theatre company that strives to create work that we can learn from. We are not committed to any particular form, style, or genre, instead we focus on experimentation. Our aim is to collaborate and to support artists to test new ideas and approaches so that we can grow our understanding of what it means to make theatre. Fable will take on the role it needs to support projects, be that creative, dramaturgical support, or producing. In any circumstance we endeavour to learn from the journeys that we take and to share our findings with our community. At our core we believe that the stories artists want to tell should be shaped by them, and that by experimenting together, we can create stronger ideas for the future.

If you have an idea or a project you would like to discuss with the company, contact us.
