Nonsuch - Call Out for Autumn Programming


Who is it for? Artists and Performers of all kinds

Location: Nottingham


What’s happening?

  • Nonsuch Studios in Nottingham are open to programming applications for their Autumn/Winter 2021 Season, with an interest in hosting theatre, comedy, cabaret, dance, family events and music.

  • But this year they are also investing heavily in offering a multi-cam live streaming option from within the venue in order to bring your work to an even wider audience.

Puppets with Guts - Call out for Puppeteers


Who is it for? Puppeteers and Physical Performers

Location: London & South East England


What’s happening?

  • Puppets with Guts are putting together a core team of experienced puppeteers and physical performers to tour to a variety of events booked in from May - November.

  • They are looking for performers with several years of experience who are just as comfortable acting from a script as they are animating objects and interacting with audiences.

  • Auditions will be held to find three full-time performers as well as 3-6 additional performers to assist on certain projects.

Prodigal Theatre & Urban Playground Team - Call Out


Who is it for? Cornish theatre-makers and performers

Location: Cornwall


What’s happening?

  • Prodigal Theatre and UPT are seeking one more collaborator to join their Emergent Ensemble - a group of early career performers contracted to work with them throughout the current year.

  • These 5 performers are contracted for 1 week’s work each month for the next 6 months for a fee of £500 for each week (£100/Day - Total £3000).

  • Ensemble members will also receive conservatoire training in dance and somatic movement, physical theatre, performance parkour and devising.

The Factory Theatre Workshop - Summer Festival of New Writing


Who is it for? Women and Non-Binary Identifying Writers and Artists

Location: London


What’s happening?


The Factory Theatre Workshop are looking for female identifying and non-binary artists to take part in their New Writing Festival. To apply you need to send in an extract of writing with an application and equal opportunities form. The extract should give an idea of the kind of work you like to create.

Boundless Accelerator 2021


Who is it for? Artists aged 15-25

Location: Anywhere


What’s happening?

  • The Boundless Accelerator is a bursary of £2500 for young artists to create a piece of new work. The theme for the bursary is ‘Climate Frontlines” and they are looking for ideas that are made by and for people aged 15-25.

  • Boundless is particularly interested in supporting new work for individuals or communities that have already experienced the consequences of climate change.

  • They are particularly interested to hear from those who are underrepresented in climate change discussions. They expect to support at least two ideas that specifically explore the connections between the environment and diversity.

  • They also expect the work to commit to low carbon solutions in practice and delivery.

Powder Keg Goodbye/Hello Fund


Who is it for? Theatre Companies

What’s happening?

  • Powder Keg theatre company is closing down and as a final act of goodwill they are giving away what remains of their bank balance!

  • They are looking for a theatre company they haven’t met before, that has at least two members in the company.

  • This is a no strings attached type of deal, they are just looking to give away their funds to a company that could use it right now.

  • At time of writing the company is looking to give away just over £800. They currently have a crowdfunder going to increase the pot, so it could be even more!

Arts Depot Creative Schools Commission


Who is it for? Artists of Any Background

Location: London Borough of Barnet


What’s happening?


Arts Depot are looking to work with 3-5 schools, including at least one secondary, one primary, and one SEN school. They are looking for artistic collaborators to join them in exploring the theme of environmental sustainability. They are looking for artists to create and deliver an innovative workshop programme in these schools which will culminate in an exhibition presentation at artsdepot. The successful pitch will receive a commission of £10,000 to carry out the project.

Derby Theatre Writing Commissions


Who is it for? Writers

Location: Derby


What’s happening?


Derby Theatre are offering 3 new commissions for writers.

  • Commission 1 - A digital work of 5-10 minutes with integrated BSL

  • Commission 2 - An audio work of 5-10 minutes that incorporates audio description within the text.

  • Commission 3 - Seeking a professional writer for a full length adaptation of Robin Hood for a family audience that incorporates BSL and captions.

  • The fee for Commission 1 and 2 is £6000 to cover all costs of producing the work, and £8000 plus royalties for commission 3.
