Multiple Positions at Light Up Drama


Who is it for? Youth Practitioners

What’s happening?


Light Up Drama currently has a number of positions available for early years and youth theatre practitioners. The company runs a number of individual sessions and youth theatres across the area. They are currently seeking:

  • A youth leader to run sessions on a 6 week project called Little Lights. The leader should be experienced in music and play!

  • Youth Theatre Assistant role. This position can only be applied for if you are on Universal Credit and you can only apply through your local job centre as this is part of their Kickstart Scheme

Unity Theatre Trust Applications Open


Who is it for? Anyone with a Theatre Project

Location: UK


What’s happening?


The Unity Theatre Trust support theatrical projects that meet their charitable aims which they list as “To advance the education of the public by fostering, promoting and increasing the interest of the public in the art of drama and in the co-related arts” Their applications are currently open and they tend to contribute £500-£1000 to a project. Your project needs to be majority funded through other means, they can’t be the sole contributor. They have June 17th as their deadline however due to their limited resources, the application submission will close once they receive 30 submissions. So if you have a project, get it in ASAP!

NDT Broadgate - New Rehearsal Venue


Who is it for? Any Theatre Makers

Location: LondonWhat’s happening?We are sure you have heard this already but the New Diorama is opening a new space that is making huge waves! NDT Broadgate will be opening this summer and the concept of the project is to give away free space to theatre makers. The building will have an impressive 16 rehearsal spaces and 10 meetings rooms which will be open for theatre makers to use. We highly recommend you go take a look at their website and keep them on your radar to find out how to get involved!

Bradford Producing Hub - Artist Play Day Call Out


Who is it for? Northern Artists with a reasonable commute to Bradford

Location: Bradford


What’s happening?


The Bradford Producing Hub is inviting artists to propose workshops that they are calling “Play Days”. The workshops should be an opportunity for artists to come together and experiment. Aside from that, they can be about anything you want, they are open to hearing about any idea for a workshop you may have. The workshop would need to last between 2-3 hours. There is a fee of £250 for the workshop, and your expenses will be covered as well. Take a look at the website for full details on what your workshop would need to achieve.

Moomin Casting Call Out


Who is it for? Performers with Puppetry Experience

Location: Brighton or nearby.


What’s happening? Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley is a unique participatory story-telling experience involving puppetry. They are looking for a number of performers to join the cast pool for upcoming show this summer, Christmas 2021 and into 2022. Ideal candidates will be excellent improvisers, have puppetry experience, and be located in Brighton or nearby. The rehearsal fee is £700. Touring shows are paid on a day-rate (£150) and subsistence, travel and accommodation provided. ​To apply send a CV and letter of interest by 11th June. Theatre 503 is looking to add more freelancers to their books and so have put an open call out for creative and production team members.
