Job Role: Consultant - Teacher
Fable Workshop is looking for a Teacher who works with students aged 16-18 to consult and offer feedback on a Research and Development for a new play called DOSAGE. The play is being supported by Theatre Deli and has received Arts Council England funding. The production has been explored previously and so will be working to develop from the feedback of previous sharing and scratch productions.
DOSAGE is a semi-autobiographical piece which explores mental health surrounding the side effects of the contraceptive pill. The production is looking to raise awareness about conversations surrounding contraception. The aim of the production is too create a socially conscious tour which visits theatre venues, schools, and other community organisations.
We are looking to work with a teacher who works with students aged 16-18. We are looking for a teacher who leads on subjects that focus on student wellbeing, such as PSHE, mental and sexual health. They do not need to have any experience with theatre/drama.
The Teacher will be invited to the technical and dress rehearsal of the production taking place on the 15th December. They will work alongside Artistic Director Sean Hollands to offer feedback and thoughts on the production.
The Teacher will then have an online meeting with the full creative team to discuss the production and its possible application in schools.
We are keen to work with a Teacher so that they can offer their perspective from the role of an educator. We want to ensure that the production is tackling issues that are regularly faced by young people.
We are also bringing in young people and other specialists through the project. We would like the teacher to offer us feedback on the production so that we can make it as suitable for educational institutions as possible.
